Breathing exercises in Corona pandemic

Breathing exercises are very important in increasing the efficiency of the lungs. There is no alternative for breathing exercises, especially at this time of the Corona epidemic.

It is better to do breathing exercises 2-3 times in a day for 5 to 10 minutes. However, in the beginning you can do it for 2 to 3 minutes and gradually increase it. Stretching the neck, shoulder and respiratory muscles and moving the associated joints must be done before exercise. There are different types of breathing exercises.

Bellybreeding Exercise

Lie down straight on the bed and bend your knees. If necessary, place the pillow under the head and knees. Now place one hand on the abdomen and the other hand on the chest. Inhale through the nose in such a way that the abdomen swells, hold for 5 seconds and exhale as loudly as whistling through the mouth.

Parsed lip breathing exercise

This is a very useful exercise for those who have shortness of breath or asthma. It is better to be half-lying or upside down; This is because, as a result, more oxygen enters the lungs, shortness of breath is reduced and the phlegm that accumulates inside the lungs is thinned. To do this, inhale through the nose, hold the air for some time (3-5 seconds) and exhale twice as long as you have inhaled, like whistling through the mouth. That is, if you breathe for 2 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds.

Equal breathing

It can be done lying down, sitting in any position. Inhale through the nose for 5 seconds. Hold the air for a while and release the air through the nose for 5 seconds.

Deep breathing exercises

Extend the chest with both hands on the chest and elbows on the back. Now take a deep breath through the nose, hold the breath for a while and exhale loudly through the nose.

Active Cycle of Breathing Technique

It is better to do it half asleep. Breathe hard through the nose, hold for 3 seconds, exhale through the mouth. Do this three times. Now breathe normally for 10 seconds. Do the exercise again. Then cough loudly. Follow the coughing etiquette when coughing. Thus complete 2 to 3 cycles. This is the most effective way to get rid of phlegm that has accumulated in the lungs.
